on december 15th we officially moved out of our ne 11th house….I had a work event that late afternoon evening but decided to ride my bike to the house on my way home to the new house for one final goodbye. it was dark and no lights were on except the security light that came on when i walked into the backyard. a rollercoaster of a month, i wasn’t even sure i’d get a post in before the new year honestly.
we usually travel down to LA and spend time with juan’s family for the holidays but this year decided not to due to the big move. More pics than words this post, I don’t have a lot to say, feeling a bit depleted physically and mentally from the last couple months
Don’t have an album of the month, but I have a lot of various songs I’ve been listening to lately that I decided to create a playlist/mix for ya:
Track/Artist
Caught in the Rain / Preston School of Industry
That’s Alright / Fleetwood Mac ((thanks Katie for sharing this one, I can’t stop listening to it))
Linked / Daryl Waits
Go West / Liz Phair
Big Snow / LVL UP
Don’t Believe / Vashti Bunyan
I Feel Like the Mother of the World / Smog
Cloudy Days / Jim Coleman
Flamingo / Fruit Bats
Someday, Someway / Marshall Crenshaw
The One to Wait / CCFX
Hvernig Á Að Særa Vini Sína / múm
Funnel of Love / Wanda Jackson
With A Girl Like You / The Troggs
and on the topic of music……
Pee-wee Xmas Special, 1988.
Breaking the rules with album of the month andddd movie of the month. Paul, Simon, Juan, and I went to see the pee-wee xmas special at the new tomorrow theater in Portland, I forgot how good this special is, incredible list of cameo features, highly rec.
I’ve been waking up, and taking some time to drink coffee/eating in my new kitchen nook. before i moved i’d pour my coffee as fast as i could and run into my office room to start work for the day so that i could avoid bumping into each other in the kitchen. the tiles remind me of the kitchen in home alone.
that’s all I got for now….happy new year, free palestine!
